Keith M. Rettig
superstition or real?
I have the following code structure in a lot of places;
[if( $VAR1 == “something" )][else]
[inline(
-database=‘myDatabase',
-table=‘myLayout',
‘fieldone'=$VAR1,
-add
)][/inline]
[/if]
It seems to me that if I get rid of the [IF][ELSE][/IF] and replace it with some logic that is simply [IF][/IF] my pages get rendered more quickly.
It seems that the [ELSE] has a cost that is not zero. I don’t really expect it to be zero, but certainly not noticeable.
Can someone set me straight that this is just superstitious behavior (or confirmation bias) or if it is a reality?
Thanks,
Keith.
