net->connect fails on production, works on development
I've run into a mystery with [net].
Sample Code
----------------------------------------------------
nslookup('127.0.0.1');
'<br>';
local('net' = net);
#net->connect('smtp.emailsrvr.com', 25);
#net->read(1024);
Dev - Lasso 8.6.0.1 for Mac (works as expected)
----------------------------------------------------
localhost
0220 smtp19.relay.dfw1a.emailsrvr.com ESMTP - VA Code Section
18.2-152.3:1 forbids use of this system for unsolicited bulk
electronic mail (Spam)
Production - Lasso 8.5.6 for Mac (does not work as expected)
----------------------------------------------------
localhost
[with the following Lasso error]
Error Message: Search permission is denied on a component
of the path prefix, or the file exists and the permissions
specified by mode are denied, or the file does not exist and
write permission is denied for the parent directory of the file
to be created.
at: connect with params: 'smtp.emailsrvr.com', 25
at: /workshop/pdf_form/email_test.lasso on line: 6 at
position: 7
Error Code: 13
I combed through the release notes of intermediary versions, but
nothing stuck out.
Since nslookup works, I can assume that Java is correctly
installed and Lasso can find its path.
But since the net->connect fails on production, but not dev, I
have to wonder what the heck is going on at a very low level
that specific path permissions are required for the net tags.
Does anyone have any insight?
BTW, I isolated this issue from a higher level issue where I was
not able to send email from Lasso using a remote server as a
relay. In that issue, it worked on dev, but I got an error on
production in Lasso's Email Queue:
SMTP: [95] Failed to connect to host "smtp.emailsrvr.com".
