email_send and attachments
In Lasso 8.5, is there a way to send a file that is outside the web root?
The documentation shows this:
The optional -Attachments parameter can be set to the
file path for a single file that should be included as an attachment to
the email message or to an array of file paths. The attached file(s)
should be within the Web server root and the path(s) should be specified
relative to the current page or to the Web server root.
However, I have a file that I need to send that is at
///var/www/webfiles/candidates/GabrieleAbbati_letter_10.pdf
I keep these files outside of the web root on purpose. The user has
permissions to this directory and doing this causes my whole page to fail
silently:
Email_Send(-To=$refEmail, -From=$fromEmail, -Subject=$subject,
-Body=$email_body,
-Attachments='///var/www/webfiles/candidates/GabrieleAbbati_letter_10.pdf')
;
All referenced variables are declared and valid. Removing the attachment
statement lets the email be sent.
