This sure has been a gargantuan pain in the @$$ topic for some time now!

I have a LP8.6 install that works fine. The exact same credentials work fine with PHP on the same server.

I am using Lasso 9.3 on CentOS 7. L9.3 can’t send email through gmail.

All I get is:
SMTP: [5] Failed to connect to host "smtp.gmail.com".

Regardless of port or any changes, it fails.

The port used is irrelevant since Gmail forces TLS.

Lasso fails right at the TLS stage every time.

CentOS 7 has OpenSSL version:
OpenSSL 1.0.1e-fips 11 Feb 2013



I really need this to work. Any chance of this being addressed sometime soon by LS?
