Shell
Hi, I'm on Lasso 8.5 Mac OSX. I have a lasso page that calls the following command:
shell('/usr/bin/wkhtmltopdf-0.9.9-OS-X.i368 '+ $todo);
where $todo is an escaped string of options, urls to be printed and destination file for the pdf. Most of the time it works flawlessly. I recently encountered an issue where it didn't, and in troubleshooting the issue, I discovered that the code was sensitive to the file size of the pdf to be generated. The pdf I was attempting to generate was a product catalog with a lot of pictures. When I reduced the number of pages to be printed or reduced the file size of the jpgs in the catalog, the page worked again. This would lead one to conclude that it's a memory issue, correct? When the command was run from the command line, the pdfs were produced even in the larger file size, so it would seem that the memory issue, it that's what it is, is with Lasso and not wkhtmltopdf. Is there a way to have Lasso hand off the command to the operating system so that it's not "involved" in the command?
Thanks,
Anibal Escobar
