Emerging from lurk-mode, it's time to query the collective knowledge of
fellow Lasso'ers :-)
First of all: LP8.6, any platform.

I'm using sessions extensively to keep track of hundreds of variables in a
complex application. One of the app's "gimmicks" is where users can comment
on documents stored in different "folders" on a server. This all works
perfectly, but probems arise when users start opening several windows or
tabs containing different different documents in different folders. Certain
bits of information, such as the current folder ID, are stored in session
variables. If the user is navigating away in one window, and then goes back
to some other window, it is possible that clicking a link to "Go Back to
Folder" will return the user to the wrong folder since the relevant session
variable has changed.

The above is of course just an example - there are dozens of variables that
change constantly based on the user's behaviour.

My question is if anyone else has had problems with session variables and
browser tabs/windows - and how they have dealt with them. Is there a golden
rule of things you should never stuff into session variables, for example?
