I just ran into this very issue, The cause is that Lasso times out when
connecting the remote server. In my case it was because I did not have
enough ports open in the firewall and those same ports configured to be
used by the FTP server for passive FTP. The FTP server accepts the file,
saves the name and then tried to move the client to an alternate port for
the remainder of the transfer.
I made the configuration changes on the AWS instance and then it worked
fine and FAST.
