[OT] Utilizing webkit to download html source
Hi, everyone,
We're trying to use two products that don't appear to cooperate very well: PrinceXML and HighCharts. HighCharts is a JS-based charting solution that keeps all of our data in-house, and renders the chart by targeting a particular <div> tag on load using SVG. PrinceXML creates nice-looking PDFs from HTML.
Without going into all of the details, what we have found is that PrinceXML doesn't like the JS code on the page, resulting in blank spaces where the charts should be. However, if I go to the page via Safari and copy/paste the <svg> tag and its contents into the <div>, PrinceXML will handle it just fine.
So what I'm looking for is some sort of solution that will call up a page like a browser and get the resulting source code. Using curl won't work, as it doesn't process the JS and get the resulting <svg> tag. Normally, this sounds like a job for webkit, but I need something quick and not something I need to develop.
Anyone got anything out there?
Thanks!
Dave
