Lasso 9.2.4 and multiple httpd Processes
Hi,
We have seen the following behaviour a few times now and are coming up empty trying to track it down. What we know is as follows:
1. Our network monitoring tools alert us to situations like this one from this morning “257 processes with command name 'httpd'” on one of our Lasso 9.2.4 servers.
2. Trying to visit a site on this server results in the browser trying to connect but not displaying the page and no error either - so traditional load balancing doesn't detect this
3. Trying to bring up instance manager via the web interface similarly hangs – you can leave it tens of minutes and the page never displays
4. From the command line “sudo /etc/rc.d/init.d/lassoimd status” reports that the instance manager is running “lassoimd (pid 18234) is running...”
5. Stopping the instance manager from the command line works => "sudo /etc/rc.d/init.d/lassoimd stop"
6. Starting the instance manager from the command line works => "sudo /etc/rc.d/init.d/lassoimd start"
7. After the restart of the instance manager we get a restore alert in relation to point 1 => " PROCS OK: 21 processes with command name 'httpd'"
Has anyone had similar experiences / offer any suggestions?
Thanks and very best regards,
Rick
