Changing image quality with image tags.
Hi,
I am trying to convert a jpg into one of a lower quality, in order to reduce file size & loading time.
The issue is that my output is exactly the same as my input (File size is the same, quality looks the same).. quality does not seam to do anything.. Here is my example code.. To test just change the file paths (and make sure the output path is writable)
[
var(myimg) = image(file_read('/path/to/original/jpg'))
$myimg -> convert('jpg', -quality=40)
$myimg -> save ('/path/to/output/test.jpg')
]
Can someone please let me know what might be wrong. Testing on Mac OS X 10.9.3, Lasso 9.2.7.
Regards
Daniel Parker
