Announcing Rope 1.0
I am pleased to announce the release of Rope 1.0. If you were at the
Lasso Developer Conference this weekend, you already had a brief
introduction and tutorial.
What Is Rope?
============Rope is a light-weight web application framework built for Lasso 9. Rope
was designed to make it easy for developers to create web applications
with clean URLs while promoting best-practices such as keeping
presentation code and logic code separated. With Rope, developers can
easily register blocks of code to run when certain URLs are requested,
programmatically generate these URL paths in their templates, pass local
variables into included code files, create validations for custom types,
and more.
Repository and other Resources
=============================Official Repository:
https://bitbucket.org/bfad/rope
(Please use the issue tracker there to submit bug reports and feature
requests.)
Binary Downloads:
https://bitbucket.org/bfad/rope/downloads
(Rope comes with a command-line tool and a LassoApp)
Documentation:
http://bfad.github.io/rope/
(Currently contains a Users' Guide and API Reference, and I'm looking to
add a basic tutorial.)
As always, any constructive feedback is greatly appreciated. I would
like to track all feed back using Bitbucket's issue tracker for the
repository (https://bitbucket.org/bfad/rope/issues)
Thanks,
Brad
