ASCII question
OK, this came to me out of the blue from a customer who is working with some big company on a project (First I heard of it was from them, not the client (I've emailed the client!).
Anyway, they sent me some specs. I assume this will have to do with me connecting via FTP and sending files to their servers based of of customer orders.
So here are the specs - can anyone make heads or tails out of them (beyond the obvious)?
I've never heard of writing a "program" in ASCII before...
"All programs must be written in ASCII language .
The record format for 820 byte files should be fixed block with a blocksize in multiples of 820. The maximum blocksize is 32,800. There should be 820 bytes of data per record, use CR/FL
(Carriage return/line feed) for each record."
There is more but this is the gist of it ...
